--A clip from last week's Thunder involving Curt Hennnig challenging Goldberg was shown. Hudson announced that the match will in fact take place, between Curt Henning vs Goldberg. The aforementioned match will take place later in the show.

--Highlights of Goldberg's career were shown. This montage of clips had background music from none other then Megadeth's "Crush 'Em", a song which dubiously appears in Goldberg's movie, Universal Soldier 2.

--"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hollywood Hogan. Enormous pop for the WCW World Champion. Definetly the largest since his return a couple of weeks ago. Hogan says that when he was at the airport today, a lot of people came to meet him and he thanks them for that. Hollywood says he came to Nitro for only one reason, Kevin Nash. Hogan repetaedly calls Nash, Kevina, he says that he watched Thunder and he saw Big Sexy's challenge and he says he has two words for him: BULL CRAP. Hogan closes the interview by saying that he has no partner, but he has the world title belt and he will bring that out to the ring and fight someone with just that. Sid Vicious, Kevin Nash and Rick Steiner come down to the ring, to a moderate amount of heat. Nash is the only one who gets in the ring and the other two guard Hogan from leaving. Hogan reiterates to Nash that he doesn't need a partner to beat Nash. Kevin says he has to beg to differ. In response to that, Hogan tells Nash to put down the mic and bring it. Hollywoof and Big Sexy brawl for just a moment, when as expected Steiner and Sid interfere and they start pounding on Hogan. Sting sprints into the ring with a baseball bat and he clears the ring of the heels. Nash leaves the ring area by saying that he has a tag team partner and Hulk better get one. Sting leaves the ring, not partners with Hogan, because earlier Hollywood said he didn't need a tag team companion.

--Juventud Guerrera and Pyschosis vs. Bobby Duncum Jr. and Kendall Windham (w/Barry Windham and Curt Henning)

-Medium amount of heat for the luchadores. The rednecks recieve a mixture of heat and pop. Juvi and Duncum in to start the match, Bobby hits a double sledge on Guerrera. Big boot to the face in the corner by Juventud. Missile drop kick from the top rope by Guerrera. Kendall Windham tagged in. Kendall hits a couple of knife edge chops into a snap mare takeover. Windham continues his advantage with a leg drop and then a very stiff clothesline. Pyschosis is brought into the ring and he immediatley hits the springboard missile drop kick from the top rope. Duncum and Juvi start brawling outside the ring. Henning interferes and he lands a couple of knife edge chops on Guerrera. Duncum returns to the ring and he exectues the top rope lariat on Pyschosis, but he doesn't go for the pinfall. Suplex in the corner by Bobby. Kendall tagged in. Windham nearly puts out Pyschosis with a belly to back suplex from the top rope. Windham attempts to make the cover, but Juventud runs in and he stops the pinfall. Pyschosis tags Guerrera, but the ref doesnt see it. Windham and Duncum hit the double bulldog on Pyschosis as the referee is distracted. Pyschosis can not recover from that spot and Windham pins him and gains the victory.

Winners: Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr.

--Medusa and Miss Madness are in the back arguing, Medusa says that she will beat Miss Madness' butt at Road Wild. Medusa thinks they should blame Gorgeous George, because it's all her fault that they aren't with Savage anymore. Medusa also adds that she thinks that Gorgeous George wanted to get kidnapped by Nash. Both women contemplate on how to get retribution tonight on Gorgeous George.

--Vampiro (w/Violent J and Shaggy) vs. Rey Mysterio Jr.

-Excellent match, both of these men astound me with their prolific ring work. Large pop for Mysterio, especially from the ladies. Running lariat from Vampiro. Belly to belly after that by Vampiro. Drop kick by Mini Me followed by a nasty looking bulldog. Mysterio finishes that set of moves with a drop kick from the top rope. Vampiro tries to exit, but ICP catches up with him and they convince him to come back to the ring. Modified Rock Bottom by Vampiro. Knife edge chop in the corner layed down on Rey Jr. Missed spinning heel kick by Vampiro. Mysterio recovers and he lands the guillotine leg drop followed by the Ruff Ryder. ICP distracts Rey Jr and this allows Vampiro to hit a short powerbomb off the rope. Then all of a sudden, ICP interferes and this causes a DQ. Eddie Guerrero runs in and he clears the ring of ICP. Violent J says he came to WCW, not to wave his hands in the air, but to beat someone's ass. "Eddie" chants.

Winner: Rey Mysterio Jr. due to the interference of ICP.

--Vincent (w/Horace) vs. Stevie Ray.

-Decent match, the best thing coming from this bout is the furthering of the "Harlem Heat reformation" angle. Applaudable pop for Ray. Vincent calls Ray a chump and informs he will be on his back and out in this contest. As Stevie Ray tries to enter the ring, Vincent runs over and he starts submarining the back of Vincent. Stevie Ray starts tatooing Vincent with rights to the cranium. Full scoop and a slam by Ray. Stevie Ray prolongs his advantage by hitting the leg drop into a lateral press. Vincent kicks out in two. "Harlem Heat" chants. Attempted Slapjack from Stevie Ray, but he misses it. Ray does manage to land another scoop and a slam. As Stevie has drifted to the corner, Horace and Vincent start pounding Ray. Stevie ducks out of the way and Vincent accidently cold cocks Horace. Stevie Ray is rejuventyaed and he hits the Blackjack followed by the slapjack for the victory. Out on the ring enterance ramp, Booker T makes sure that Bryan Adams doesn't come to the squared circle to help Vincent.

Winner: Stevie Ray

--Okerlund is in the locker room area and he is trying to get into Hogan's dressing room. Sting comes by and enters the dressing room. Gene tries to get a word with Sting, but the Franchise boy just ignores him. Okerlund closes this bit by saying he is not going anywhere in his attempt to find who Hogan's partner is.

--Sting saunters down to the ring to a huge pop. Sting introduces himself as the president of WCW. Franchise boy says that he knew he would have to make a lot of decisions, and he says he will make a big one know. Sting says he has someone in the back who wants him to be his partner on Nitro tonight. The President asks the crowd if it's showtime and the crowd cheers louder then ever. Hollywood Hogan comes down to the ring without the world title. Hogan says he is not the same Hollywood as before and that Sting can trust him. Hulk says the people are right, their is a lot of history, but he will not stab Sting in the back tonight. President says for old times sikes, he'll be Hogan's partner, but if Hogan screws him he'll get him. Hogan says fair enough and then Sting abruptly leaves the ring. Jason Irving is back and he joins for guest commentary. Irving says what brings him back, is that he saw Arliss on Nitro and he thought it was terrible. Irving adds that he came out to Nitro, to show everyone that actors are not horrible in conjunction with wrestling.

--Prince Iaukea vs. Lash Leroux

-No heat/pop really for either competitor. Iaukea hits the snap mare takeover. Randy Savage comes down to the ring and he beats up Leroux. He hits the top rope elbow among other manuevers. Macho Man says that he is taking over the wrestling world and he is running for the president if the U.S. Savage continues pounding Lash, seeing as how he just chucked him onto the announce table. Randy says that it's not over yet and it just started. Medusa comes down to the ring. Savage informs them they are fired. Medusa sucks up to Savage and says she wants to be a team player and she thinks it's all Gorgeous George's fault. Macho Man says he is the man and he makes Medusa agree with him. George tries to escape the ring, but she is met by Dennis Rodman and The Worm decides to steal GG and take her back to the dressing room. George's theft makes Savage go crazy and he sprints to the backstage area.

Winner: No Contest due to the interference of Randy Savage.

--Okerlund is talking about what's going to happen next and then Goldberg comes down to the ring for an impromptu interview. "Goldberg" chants. Goldberg says it was convenient for Henning to run his mouth, because he knew that Goldberg was 2000 miles away. Goldberg tells Henning "You're next."

--Evan Karagias vs. "The Cat" Ernest Miller (w/Sonny Onoo)

- Not a particularly impressive effort from either wrestler. Adequate match at best. "The Cat" gets a huge amount of heat and jeers from the paying attendance. Miller tells Evan that someone must be playing a joke on him. Cat says that he will allow Karagias to leave the ring in one peace. Cat shakes his hand and pretends like he is happy and then as expected, he hits a hard lariat on Evan to begin this bout. In the duration of this match, Miller argues with the same group of fans numerous times. In the ring, Miller hits a full slam on Karagias. Cat continues his dominance by hitting a leg drop. Cover 2. Evan is catapaulted out of the ring and he promptly gets some kicks in the diaphragm from the Purple Haze, Sonny Onoo. Attempted sunset flip by Karagias is unsucessful. Miller recovers and he lands the standing side kick on the now dazed, Evan Karagias. Evan ducks the clothesline and he lands a drop kick on the Cat. Evan hits a springboard into a lateral press from the top rope on Miller. Cat prepares to get his red shoes out, but they were replaced. Buff Bagwell comes out and asks Cat where his shoes are. Miller gets distracted momentarily and this allows Karagias to quickly lands the rollup and gain the decision over The Cat.

Winner: Evan Karagias

--Mikey Whipwreck vs. Steven Regal (w/Dave Taylor)

-Good match from both men, nice effort put forth. Before the match, Hudson talks about Fit Finlay's injury and how severe it is. Scott says he will be out for many months. Decent amount of heat for Regal and Taylor. Dave Taylor stalls for a long time before the commencement of this bout. Regal starts jawing with a band of rowdy fans before the match starts. Arm bar submission hold by Whipwreck. Side head lock by Mikey. Shoulder block into a hip toss by Whipwreck. Head scissors take over by the dominating (at least to this point) Mikey Whipwreck. Side head lock by Regal. Jimmy Hart and the First Family come in from the back and they tell Regal and Taylor they have to come to Sturgis to get the hardcore title back. Whipwreck nearly gains the pinfall as Regal is distracted. Cover 2. Half nelson with a side head lock applied in the middle of the ring to Whipwreck. "USA" chants. All of a sudden, Whipwreck gets tossed out of the ring. This allows Taylor to use the union jack to pummel Mikey. Back in the ring, Regal hits a leg drop flat on the neck of Whipwreck. Cover 2. Taylor runs by and ambushes Mikey again. Regal tattoos Whipwreck with european uppercuts to the face. The Man's Man hits a running clothesline. 2 count from the referee. Whipwreck runs off the ropes and he hits the frankensteiner in the center of the ring. Cover 2. Regal hits the double underhook, followed by the Regal stretch for the victory over Mikey.

Flair says that his father used to tell him to be the man, he has to beat the man. David Flair says that his dad his the greatest wrestler, and that he will soon be the second greatest wrestler. Okerlund says that Benoit is here to fight for the US title and Ric Flair is there. Lots of cheers for Torrie as they leave the ring.

--Randy Savage is in downtown Memphis looking for Dennis Rodman, Savage sees The Worm in his trailer and he tries to attack him. Macho eventually does recover Gorgeous George from the clutches of the worm.

--Shane Doulgas is shown doing a backstage interview. He says that he has come to WCW, finally because he wants to be with his friends, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit. He says he can trust these guys. Douglas adds on that he has come to WCW to cut that cancer known as Ric Flair, with a scalpel. Douglas says he is here to get Flair and all the backstage insiders know that he has legitimate hatred for Flair, and it is surely reciprocated by the Nature Boy.

--Curt Henning (w/Bobby Duncum Jr., Kendall Windham and Barry Windham) vs. Goldberg

-Lots of heat for the cowboys. Gigantic pop for the phenom. Henning escapes the ring before the match in fear of the presence of Goldberg. "Goldberg" chants. Big boot to the face of Bill. Curt escapes the ring in pain. Bobby Duncum distracts the referee and this enables Henning to slam the cowbell right between the eyes of Goldberg. Double sledge into a scoop and a slam by Goldberg. Kendall Windham interferes and he gets a full slam from the phenom. Goldberg spears everyone but Curt Henning. After Curt surveys the situation, he bails and the referee awards Goldberg the victory.
